![]() Arthur opened his eyes and raised himself from his chair. It’s late and he should be sleeping, not stressing over matters that very well may not come to pass. He brought his hands up to rub his face as he let out a sigh. The whole town was after him, and sure Arthur’s house was safe but for how long? What would they do to him? Not of Griffin, he could never be afraid of his friend, but of what would happen to him. All that Griffin had told him that evening was a lot to wrap his head around, and frankly he was terrified. He tried to clear his head, but the silence only let his mind wander. He crossed them to retain some warmth and let his eyes fall shut. A breeze blew into the room and chilled Arthur, prickling the skin on his arms. Griffin let out a hum in acknowledgement then the room fell silent except for the sound of the wind rustling the trees through the open patio door. “It’s late and you should rest comfortably. “No, no need for any of that,” he said finally. The indentations on the bed shifted, and Griffin took another drag from his cigarette. ![]() “I can put my shirt and bandages back on if that would be better.”Īrthur’s eyes drifted back to the bed where the voice of his friend was coming from. “Well I don’t want to make you uncomfortable in your own home,” Griffin’s voice sounded serious. “Knowing you’re there and not being able to see you.” "It's strange, you know.” His eyes danced around his room, unable to settle on anything properly in the dim lighting. "You look worried," Griffin said, holding in a laugh. Griffin breathed out and Arthur watched as any sign of him disappeared from view completely. Arthur's eyes trailed his movement to the best of his abilities. The smoke pooled into his lungs again and he let himself fall back onto the bed, savouring the smoke. Arthur’s nose scrunched at the smell - he never did like the scent of cigarette smoke - but his eyes never left the approximation of where Griffin was seated. Arthur felt like he could reach out his hand and swat it away, but before his impulses got the better of him, he watched as Griffin exhaled and the smoke left his lungs and escaped out into the room to dissipate on its own. It settled for a moment and looked just like two concentrated patches of smoke swirling in the air. Arthur watched the smoke pool into Griffin's invisible form, trailing along his throat and billowing into his lungs. This is really just a fudge till we can get a professional to redo the whole thing but we'll be using it for a while in the meantime so I'd like it to look as professional as possible. The cigarette was raised to about where Griffin's lips would be, and the end grew red as he inhaled.I'm pretty happy with the other updates I've done, though some aren't perfect. When I couldn't get it to work I thought I'd just paste in an image of the text from the original doc (also attached) but, even after changing the lighting in the original image, it is always displayed with a dirty background. If I delete the invisible text and paste it in from elsewhere, I can't get the formatting to look like the other text - in particular bold text looks shadowed. If I make a line bold and it sometimes reappears - but not always if it was bold already (beginning and end text).I can highlight it by using the Select Text option. In the latter, the invisible text is at the top left of p8.Sry they're both quite large (to me anyway). I was attaching the original file (ends 'Copy' - so you can see where I started from) and the file I'm working on (ends 'mid-update'). Trying to post this but it tells me I'm not authorised to create or remove attachments. Hi amanda_liang - thanks for getting back to me. If I buy foxit, will I be able to transfer it to my new computer without an additional fee? I only want one copy, so would delete off current machine when get new one. I'm planning on getting a new computer within the month. I should add - I'm editing a pdf of the TNR Manual for Ireland which was designed for us by a professional ages ago - she never gave us the original design document, so we're having to edit the pdf. Which is why making invisible visible seems the best option. I'm new to the software, so I may just not have the hang of things - I've tried just deleting the invisible text and copying and pasting the original text again but it gets divided into several objects and the formatting gets borked and I can't seem to change it. Images attached of original text in another pdf and invisible text selected in problem pdf. However the formatting changes, so I'd like to find a way to make the original text visible. ![]() While editing one block of text has turned invisible - I can still select it and with playing around with bold it sometimes reappears. I have the trial version and two unrelated queries.
